Custodial Services

Provide quality floor care service using a high grade product. Work will be completed during normal working hours of the second shift unless other arrangements are made. Masking tape will be used to identify starting and stopping points and even cuts from offices services to public space corridors.

Strip & Wax $0.70 per sq. ft.

Flooring Shop

The materials and services listed are furnished through the University Purchasing Department by outside vendors and contractors. The listed costs include material, installation, and sales tax. Prices provided here are to be used as guidelines only and will fluctuate depending upon market conditions. Prices may also vary depending on availability of product, brand name, quality, etc. 

Removal of existing tile $1.65 per sq. ft.
New VCT material and installation $3.25 - $7.50 per sq. ft.
Remove and dispose of existing carpet $1.50 per sq. ft.

Painting

In order to provide more flexibility and cost effectiveness to campus departments, two levels of painting standards (University and Commercial) have been established by Facilities Management. The same quality of paint will be used for both levels. All furniture and built-in shelving will be appropriately masked for both levels of painting.

The following will increase the cost of both levels of painting projects: ceiling heights greater than 8 ft; decorative trim or accent chair molding; exposed utilities such as pipes, electrical conduit, etc.; excessive pre-existing damage caused by water or chemicals, large holes in walls, grease, etc.; accent walls. 

Color selection will be unlimited. 
Facilities will move/reset furniture that is within lifting capacity and is not fastened to the wall.
Complete preparation of all surfaces will be done.
All surfaces will receive a prime coat, and 1 to 2 coats of paint as necessary. 

Average cost: $6.50 per sq. ft.
