FM Teams Collaborate in Faculty Center Upgrade

updated morrison room

In conjunction with Capitol Programs Seismic Upgrades, Facilities Management (FM) refurbished several rooms at UCLA’s Faculty Center. Over the course of over a year, Maintenance and Alterations Project Manager Roland Amrhein managed the Paint, Carpenter, Electrical, Flooring, Mason, Engineering, Plumbing, Lock, Sign, Sheetmetal Shops, Custodial and Grounds teams in the renovation.

Boasting refurbished features include the Main Dining Room, Cypress Lounge, California Room (renamed Morrison) and the Playa Room. Also revamped are the Office Spaces, Coral Grill and Servery. As part of the overhaul, multiple building deficiencies that were not initially addressed by the Seismic Upgrade Project were rectified.

COO Luciano Sautto of the UCLA Faculty Club is very pleased with the upgrade. Roland Amrhein credits the project’s success to all the FM shops’ hard work, collaboration, and workmanship.
