FM Flooring Shop Continues to Shine!

The FM Flooring Shop recently completed a sorely needed flooring replacement on the A-level of Moore Hall that serves as a small but powerful example of the importance of these employees to the campus and its appearance.   The before and after photos below show the significance of the improvement provided, which left Dean Tina Christie extremely grateful for the work. This project also demonstrates the true benefit of our FM Zone Inspection Program and the recurring meetings the FM AVC holds with our clients. These tools help FM “self-discover” the things that are in need of repair, and understand those things that are the highest priority with the clients. In this case, it was both. This deteriorated flooring was identified on a Zone Inspection, and during the FM AVC’s meeting with Dean Christie and her staff in March, 2022, they stated that they intended to begin using this area, which was previously loaded with obsolete furniture and book shelves, more heavily and asked if FM could move it up on the Flooring Shop’s schedule.

Manny Santos manages the Flooring Shop, and he was quick to reflect credit for this high quality and timely work on the employees who installed it, including Gerardo Morales, Daniel Fregoso, Joel Landaverde and Hector Calderon.
